Walter Martín Varela is 29 years old, and his wife, Claudia Patricia Méndez, is 30.  Walter lives in Candelaria but serves as the senior pastor in Santa Matilde.  He rides his bike over 20 minutes to visit homes of his congregation and preach evening services daily.  He is in need of a motorcycle or dirt bike to give himself a shorter trip and more time with his community.  Claudia is a big part of both the Candelaria and Santa Matilde communities as well as a great mother of 3 boys.  Her oldest two sons, Jonathan Antonio Varela Méndez, age 9, and Eddy Elías Varela Méndez, 4, are both in school M-F and attend Sunday School in Candelaria.
